👋 What’s Up Wentzville!
Good Morning!
This week’s newsletter has a little bit of everything, which is very on brand for early June around here.
We’ve got classic cars rolling through Wentzville at the June Rod Run, the Spirit of St. Louis Air Show taking over the sky in Chesterfield, farmers markets, live music, book swaps, birthday carnivals, wine glass painting, and enough outdoor events to make you briefly believe you are the kind of person who always remembers sunscreen.
Here’s what’s happening this week. 👇

Help Local Families After This Week’s Wentzville Fire
But before we get to the fun stuff, I want to start with something more important.
Earlier this week, a fire damaged three homes in Wentzville after neighbors reported hearing what sounded like a propane tank explosion. Local reports say several people were displaced, one firefighter was injured, and pets were rescued from the scene.
One fundraiser I’ve seen so far is for a family whose home was impacted as a neighboring house to where the explosion happened.
You can help here:
https://gofund.me/66fda555c
And if you know of other verified ways to help the other families affected, please keep an eye on the local Facebook groups, neighborhood pages, and local news updates.
If you hear of the best way to help any of these families, whether it’s a fundraiser, meal train, donation drop-off, or a specific need, please send it my way so I can include it in the next newsletter and help get the word out.
Prayers for everyone impacted, and for the first responders who were there helping when it mattered most.

Some restaurants are “let’s grab dinner.”
And then some restaurants are “how did I not know this was sitting in St. Peters making pizza in a 1,000 degree oven from Naples?”

Noto Italian Restaurant is one of those.
Tucked on Westwood Drive in St. Peters, Noto is a family-run Italian restaurant from husband and wife team Wayne and Kendele Sieve.
It started as a mobile pizza trailer back in 2017, which already feels like the kind of origin story that makes you root for a place before you even sit down.
But now?
Now it’s a full-service Italian restaurant with handmade pastas, seasonal dishes, cocktails, desserts, and true Neapolitan pizza that feels like it came with a tiny passport stamp.

The pizza is the star here, and not in a “we put arugula on it so now it’s fancy” kind of way.
Noto is VPN certified, which stands for Verace Pizza Napoletana, or “True Neapolitan Pizza.” Basically, there are actual rules for this kind of pizza, and Noto follows them.
The dough is hand-stretched, the ingredients are simple, and the pizza cooks in about 90 seconds inside a wood-burning oven that was manufactured in Naples, Italy.
Which means yes, this is a serious pizza situation.

The crust comes out airy, blistered, and beautifully charred.
The center is soft and saucy.
It’s the kind of pizza where you may feel very sophisticated using a knife and fork, until you immediately abandon that plan and just go for it.
The menu changes seasonally, but you’ll usually find a mix of starters, handmade pastas, mains, and their signature Pizza Napoletana.
Think burrata, arancini, bolognese, seasonal pastas, and pizzas with San Marzano tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, basil, prosciutto, burrata, Calabrian chili, and all the other words that make you suddenly rethink whatever you had planned for dinner.
And the space itself is part of the fun.
It’s warm, modern, a little moody, and the big wood-fired oven makes the whole place feel like dinner is about to become an event.
Not a fussy event.
Just the kind where you sit down, slow down, order something for the table, and pretend you are the kind of person who always knows what “agrodolce” means.
No judgment if you Google it under the table.
Noto has also earned plenty of attention outside of St. Peters, including recognition from Sauce Magazine as one of the essential St. Louis restaurants right now.
Which feels very deserved, but also slightly dangerous, because now I’m telling more people about it and making reservations even more important.
So if you’ve driven past this part of St. Peters a hundred times and somehow missed it, consider this your sign.

Go for the pizza.
Stay for the pasta.
Order the cannoli if it’s available.
And maybe bring someone you like, because this feels like a place where dinner should not be rushed.

That’s what I’ve got for you this week.
If you know of a local event, fundraiser, hidden gem, business update, or a way to help the families impacted by this week’s fire, send it my way and I’ll do my best to include it in an upcoming issue.
As always, thanks for reading, sharing, and helping make Wentzville a great place to live.
See you next Thursday,
Skyler
