Together With

👋 What’s Up Wentzville!

Good morning! There’s a Bluey meet & greet this weekend…

…and if you’re a parent, you already know this isn’t just for the kids 😄

At this point, Bluey is basically:

Part kids show…
Part parenting advice…
Part unexpected emotional therapy session.

There’s a very real chance some parents would like to personally thank a cartoon dog for helping them process life this weekend.

Along with that, you’ve got Big Truck Day (which adults will absolutely enjoy too)…

And a huge craft & market fair supporting Holt Project Graduation.

It’s one of those weekends.

Alright — here’s what’s happening around Wentzville 👇

🌟 A Hidden Gem

🎨 The murals you’ve probably driven past… without noticing

You know those places that are technically right in the middle of town…

…but somehow still feel hidden?

This is one of those.

Tobacco Fields Mural - Crossroads Arts Council

If you’ve spent any time driving through downtown Wentzville, you’ve probably passed a few of them without thinking twice.

A brick wall here. The side of a building there.

Nothing that really makes you slow down.

But once you actually start looking…

You realize there’s a full mural trail woven right through downtown.

And it’s not random.

It tells a story.

This isn’t just one or two murals.

It’s a collection spread across Main Street, Pearce, Allen, and a few spots in between — each one capturing a different piece of Wentzville’s history.

You’ll find things like:

🖼️ scenes of downtown in the 1800s
🚂 nods to the railroad and early growth of the city
📜 murals based on real historical events (including a Civil War skirmish)
🏭 pieces highlighting the tobacco industry that once shaped the area

Battle of Wentzville - Crossroads Arts Council

And the more you follow it…

The more it starts to feel connected.

One mural leads to the next.

Then another.

And before you know it, you’re not just looking at art — you’re walking through a timeline of the city.

There’s even one that recreates a 1907 event poster.

Another that shows what downtown looked like over a century ago.

And a few tucked-away pieces you’d never notice unless you were actually walking the route.

World War I Poster - Crossroads Arts Council

That’s really the key to this one.

You can drive past a couple and call it good…

But you’ll miss the bigger picture.

This is one of those things that’s meant to be experienced all the way through.

So if you want to do it right:

• park somewhere downtown
• give yourself a little time
• and walk the trail from start to finish

Let it unfold as you go.

It’s not long. It’s not complicated.

But it’s surprisingly easy to overlook unless you’re intentional about it.

And once you do…

Downtown Wentzville doesn’t feel quite as “small” as it used to.

If you want to see where everything is (and make sure you don’t miss any of them), you can check out the full list and download the map here:

If you’ve lived here a while and feel like you’ve seen everything…

There’s a good chance you haven’t seen this.

At least not like this.

Quick Question…

That’s everything we’ve got for this week!

If you end up checking out anything — especially something new — I’d love to hear how it was.

Or if you come across something happening around town that more people should know about…

Just hit reply and send it over.

And if you run a local business (or know someone who does) and want to get in front of thousands of local readers each week…

You can reach out here: [email protected]

See you next week 👋
