What’s up Wentzville! 👋

Welcome to the very first issue of What’s Up Wentzville — your weekly, no-stress rundown of what’s going on around town.

I’ll keep this simple, positive, and actually useful. Think: stuff you’d tell a neighbor while taking the trash out. Not the kind of email you scroll past while muttering, “Why am I subscribed to this?”

Also, quick weather check — Punxsutawney Phil says six more weeks of winter, but the forecast says 65° on Monday. Maybe we should stop taking weather advice from a oversized squirrel… just a thought 😅

Let’s get into it.

This Week in Wentzville

The first Wentzville Flea Market of the year is this Sunday
The Wentzville Community Flea Market kicks off for the season this weekend. Bargain hunters, collectors, and people who “are just looking” but absolutely will buy something — this is your moment.

Super Bowl Sunday is almost here
Between watch parties, takeout orders, and people explaining football rules they also don’t fully understand, this weekend is shaping up to be a busy one. The Seahawks take on the Patriots at 5:30 PM, so plan your snacks and seating accordingly. Ordering food early is the move, otherwise you might be stuck with the Great Value chips again.

Valentine’s Day is next week (friendly reminder)
This is your heads-up so no one’s panic-buying a card at the grocery store on the 14th. If flowers are your move, local spots like Dunn’s Florist or Stelo Flower & Wine Bar have you covered. Not a flowers person? Cookies, dinner, or just a thoughtful plan goes a long way — bonus points for not doing it last minute.

Things to Do

📍 Boone Trail Elementary
🕕 Friday, Feb 6 at 6 PM

A fun, family-friendly trivia night hosted by the Boone Trail Elementary PTA. Bring the kids, bring your brain, and bring a healthy respect for the fact that someone else’s child definitely knows the answer.

📍 Stelo Flower & Wine Bar
🕖 Friday, Feb 6, 7–9 PM

Probably the easiest Valentine’s date plan. Just show up and make cookies — which is always guaranteed to be a good time. According to the description: “Romance is optional. Cookies are not.” Honestly, that feels like solid life advice.

That’s it for this week.

If there’s an event, school thing, local business, or community win you think should be included in a future issue, just reply to this email and tell me. I read every reply.

See you next Thursday,
Skyler
